Required New Jersey law expressively requires document signers to personally appear before the Notary at the time of notarizations. Meaning the Notary and the signer must be both physically present.
Three Identification Methods (Needed at Appointment): Government issued ID's, New Jersey driver's license or official nondriver's ID, U.S or foreign passport, or U.S military ID.
Unacceptable Identification Documents: Social Security cards, Birth Certificates, and Credit Cards.
Blank or Incomplete Documents (will not be Notarized). If you the signer are unsure how to fill in the blanks. You should contact the document's issuer it's eventual recipient, or an attorney.
Photocopies & Faxes Original Signature- photocopy or fax may be notarized as long as the signature on it is original, meaning that the photocopy or fax must be signed with pen and ink. A photocopied or faxed signature (will not be notarized).
Please NOTE: Public recorders sometimes will not accept notarized photocopies or faxes, because the text of the document may be to faint to adequately reproduce in microfilming.

I do not assist in legal matters an do not give advices or accept fees for legal advice. As a ministerial official I am not permitted to assist a signer in drafting, preparing, selecting, completing or understanding a document or transaction.
I do not determine Notarial Acts I am not a attorney therefore this is beyond the scope of my expertise. I am here to follow instructions provided by the document, its signers, its issuing or receiving agency, or an attorney. So please come prepared to your appointment or commission.
